About wooden blinds

Real warmth, cut to your exact windows.

Wooden blinds bring a natural warmth to a room that fabric or aluminium can't replicate — made to measure in either real hardwood or moisture-resistant faux wood.

Faux wood is fully moisture-resistant, so it copes well anywhere steam or condensation is a factor. Real wood brings a warmer, natural grain wherever you'd like to show it off.

Our wooden blinds are sourced from sustainable forests, and with the right treatment can be safely fitted in warmer or more humid rooms too.

Built with child safety in mind

Wooden blinds use a wand for tilt control and a cord for raising and lowering, with the cord tensioner fitted as standard under BS EN 13120, the UK safety standard for internal blinds. Cordless options are available too.

Common questions

Wooden blinds, answered.

Are wooden blinds child safe?

Yes. Every wooden blind we fit meets BS EN 13120, with a cord tensioner fitted as standard. Cordless options are available if you'd rather not have a cord at all.

How long does fitting take?

Most wooden blind jobs are completed in a single visit once we've measured and the blind is made.

Real wood or faux wood — which do you recommend?

It depends on the room and your budget — see our Faux Wood Blinds page for the moisture-resistant alternative.

Fitted across the Lothians and Fife

Wherever you are, we can fit it.

Real wood blinds suit the period terraces and sandstone villas around Edinburgh especially well, adding a warmth that fabric blinds can't match. We fit them just as regularly in newer homes across Livingston, West Lothian, Midlothian, East Lothian and Fife.

New build homes

Wooden blinds add real warmth to a new-build interior that can otherwise feel a little blank and uniform, without needing any structural changes to the property.
